Deleting entries but keeping your account
- One at a time — tap an entry in the list and delete it.
- Everything on the server — switch Settings → Where entries are
stored to device only, and every entry the server held is deleted
right then. Your account and the entries on this device stay.
What gets deleted
- All entries (time · state) · feedback you sent
- Account info — email, device info, country, time zone, language, notification settings
- Ad-view history · remaining ad-free days
If you chose device-only storage, the server holds no entries —
in that case only your account, ad and referral information is deleted from the
server. Deleting your account in the app also wipes the entries on this
device, right then. With device-only storage those are your only copy, so
export them first if you want to keep them:
Settings → Email my records.
A one-way hash of your email is kept, to prevent repeatedly claiming
the sign-up bonus — it cannot be turned back into your address. Referral
relationships are also kept, to prevent repeatedly claiming referral rewards —
they hold no personal information, only account identifiers and the referral code.
If the account ever entered a referral code, a one-way hash of the device
identifier is kept for the same purpose — it cannot be reversed, and nothing is
kept if no code was ever entered.
How long it takes, and what stays
- When — everything listed above is removed from the database the moment
you ask, and cannot be recovered. There is no grace period.
- Backup copies — we back up the whole database daily for disaster
recovery. Copies that may still contain deleted information are destroyed
automatically within 90 days.
- How long what stays, stays — the one-way hashes and referral
relationships above are kept with no set period. They exist to block
repeat claims, so a deadline would defeat the purpose. Neither your email nor
your device can be recovered from a hash.
